Donations Will Purchase Solar Panel as a Wedding Gift for the Royal Couple

The royal wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton is fascinating people worldwide. For those who won’t be attending the nuptials but still want to express their congratulations with a gift, GreeningTheGovernment.com is offering individuals with a unique opportunity to do so through the donation of a solar panel.

The organization is accepting donations of $5 that will be used to donate a solar panel to the royal couple as a wedding gift. Prince William has expressed an enthusiastic interest in the use of solar panels and 100 donations of $5 is needed to purchase and ship the solar panel to the royal couple as a wedding gift.

Those who contribute to the project will be able to sign the accompanying gift card by entering their name and a brief message on the donation form on the website. If the full number of contributions is not received, all monies will be donated to the official royal wedding charity fund, located at http://www.royalweddingcharityfund.com. In the event that more than the required $500 is collected, the balance will also be donated to the official royal wedding charity fund.

The royal wedding takes place April 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Westminster Abbey. It’s imperative that contributions are collected as soon as possible to enable Greening the Government to deliver the gift in time for the wedding.

The solar panel is an expression of Greening the Government’s well wishes for the couple, their children and future generations of children worldwide. Solar power is a clearer and healthier method of generating energy than traditional means. Solar panels provide the prince and his bride-to-be with the tools to set an example for others around the world.

Throughout history, royal weddings have resulted in some amazing gifts. King Henry III was given a polar bear for his wedding and Charles the II received the entire North African town of Tangiers. Prince William’s mother, Princess Diana, was presented with a diamond-encrusted model boat on her wedding day.

Providing a suitably unique gift for the royal couple presents a dilemma, especially with the exclusive guest list of those attending the wedding and the thousands of individuals, businesses and organizations that will be sending gifts. What does one give the couple who as everything? St. Andrews University has established a scholarship for underprivileged students, while the British ambassador to Israel will present an ornate, custom designed marriage license.

The Greening the Government project allows anyone to wish the couple happiness and long life, that’s affordable enough for anyone. The GreeningTheGovernment.com project allows individuals to express their excitement and well wishes to Prince William and Kate Middleton through a unique and one-of-a-kind gift. The solar panel provides a memorable gift that will continue to give far into the future, long after the nuptials have concluded.
